PCV2 tiene la más alta tasa de mutación para un virus monocatenario6
- Hay cuatro genotipos conocidos de PCV2 presentes en las granjas de EUA y México. PCV2a, PCV2b, PCV2d y ocasionalmente PCV2e con una recurrencia cambiante entre PCV2b7 y PCV2d.8
- La brecha genética entre las vacunas y los virus va en aumento.9,10,15
Complejos problemas respiratorios
Los complejos problemas respiratorios raramente son causados por un solo patógeno.
La Enfermedad Respiratoria Porcina (SRD) y el Complejo Respiratorio Porcino (CRP) pueden abrir la puerta a una variedad de infecciones virales y bacterianas cuando el sistema inmunológico del cerdo está comprometido. Los agentes infecciosos bacterianos como el SRD Mycoplasma hyopneumoniae pueden durar de 15 a 30 semanas después de la exposición inicial.11-13
